XD Card Type H are better because they are a little faster than Type M cards
With your device, you should be able to shoot approx. 250 images per 1 GB in setting the highest quality (which always should). Do not forget to format it before use. Check your manual if you do not know how.
Also your owner's manual will provide guidance on how many images you can shoot for 1 GB. Are you looking for in the Specifications section.
PS do not buy Olympus brand xD card. Any good brand to do.
